Better Together! (3)
September 28, 2025 • Randy Eliason • Ephesians 4:29 and 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
In this message, we talk about why encouragement is so important in the church. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:29 and 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 to use our words to build others up, not tear them down. As followers of Jesus, we are called to speak words that give hope, truth, and strength. Encouragement is not just making people feel good. It means speaking the truth in love to help others trust God more and not give up.
We all need encouragement:
- When we feel hopeless
- When we are tempted to give up
- When we become lazy or cold in our faith
- When we are afraid or anxious
God encourages us through His Word, His Spirit, and His people. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are our greatest encouragers, and we are called to encourage one another just as God encourages us.
