No one is Beyond God’s Reach!

August 9, 2026 • Randy Eliason •  ACTS 9: 1-6; 10-19

Week 6 of Close Encounters with Jesus takes us to ACTS 9: 1-6; 10-19, where Saul—an enemy of the church—meets the risen Jesus and becomes a completely transformed man. Saul was a devoted Pharisee, fiercely committed to traditions but spiritually blind. His zeal led him to hunt down Christians, “breathing threats and murder” against the followers of Jesus. But on the road to Damascus, everything changed. A light from heaven knocked him to the ground, and a voice called his name: “Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
In that moment, Saul discovered that harming the people of Jesus is harming Jesus Himself. He also discovered something even more shocking: Jesus still wanted him.

Through Ananias’ obedience, Saul received healing, the Holy Spirit, baptism, and a new calling. The persecutor became a preacher. The enemy became an apostle. The man who tried to silence the gospel became the one who carried it across the world.

If Jesus can reach Saul, He can reach anyone. No one is too far, too broken, too hostile, or too lost for the love of Christ. Join us as we explore the unstoppable grace of God and the calling that comes with following Jesus.
